Ngurah Rai Airport (DPS) meet & greet, flight tracking and a local Amed driver
For more detailed pickup, timing and route information, choose the direction you are travelling.
Travel directly between I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) and Amed with a private driver based in Amed, Karangasem. The same drive goes by several names — Bali airport to Amed, Denpasar airport to Amed, DPS to Amed, or simply airport to Amed — and DPS is Bali’s only international airport, in the south of the island.
The journey normally takes around 3–3.5 hours, depending on traffic and your exact accommodation. The same private service is available in reverse for Amed to Bali Airport, with hotel or villa pickup and direct departure-terminal drop-off.
The rates below are fixed per private vehicle. They include the private car, driver, fuel and normal airport parking costs for the transfer.
Best for up to 4 passengers with around 2–3 standard bags.
More cabin and luggage space for longer airport transfers, families or guests traveling with more bags.
Pre-booking is useful after a long flight because your driver already knows your flight details, destination and meeting plan before you land.
The return leg — Amed to airport, or Amed to DPS — works the same way at the same per-car fare. We collect you from your Amed hotel or villa and drive to the correct departure terminal, domestic or international.
For domestic flights, very early departures or unusual traffic periods, send the flight details and we will confirm a suitable pickup time rather than using a one-size-fits-all schedule.
Amed stretches along the East Bali coast, so travel time can change slightly depending on the exact accommodation. We regularly arrange airport pickup and drop-off for:
Send the exact hotel, villa or resort name when booking. This helps us confirm the correct pickup time and the most realistic journey duration.
If your priority is simply reaching Amed after a flight, we recommend keeping the journey direct. If you have enough time and want to include sightseeing, selected East Bali stops such as Tirta Gangga can be arranged before departure.
Longer sightseeing stops or detours increase the travel time and may have an additional fee. Tell us what you want to visit when booking so we can confirm whether it fits naturally with your airport transfer.
“Oke was an excellent and safe driver who made the whole experience very enjoyable.”
The Standard MPV (Toyota Avanza or similar) is IDR 700,000 and the Premium MPV (Toyota Innova Reborn) IDR 850,000. The rate is for the whole private car, not per passenger, and includes the driver, fuel, parking and tolls. The same fare applies in both directions, Bali Airport to Amed and Amed to Bali Airport.
Most transfers take around 3–3.5 hours depending on traffic and the exact location of your accommodation in Amed.
Travelers often call it Denpasar Airport, but airport code DPS refers to I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in South Bali.
After immigration, baggage collection and customs, continue to the arrivals hall. Your driver waits there holding a clear sign with your name on it. A few hours before you land we send you the driver’s name, photo and WhatsApp number, so you can reach them over the airport’s free Wi-Fi if you need to.
Yes, and there is no waiting fee when a flight is late. Share your flight number when booking: we follow its status and the driver adjusts the meeting time to the new arrival, at no extra cost to you.
Yes. Airport pickup and drop-off is arranged 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including late-night arrivals and very early departures, and there is no midnight or after-hours surcharge. Long-haul flights from Europe often land in the small hours, so book in advance and a driver is scheduled for your exact flight time.
Yes. We pick up from your Amed hotel or villa and take you directly to the correct departure terminal at DPS.
We regularly serve central Amed, Jemeluk, Bunutan, Lipah, Lean and Banyuning. Send your exact accommodation name when booking.
Around 6–6.5 hours before departure is a useful planning guideline because the drive is usually 3–3.5 hours and international check-in needs additional buffer. We confirm the recommended pickup time from your actual flight details.
The Standard MPV (Toyota Avanza or similar) suits up to 4 passengers with 2–3 standard bags. The Premium MPV (Toyota Innova Reborn) suits up to 5 passengers with 4–5 standard bags. Tell us your passenger and luggage count when booking so we can confirm the right vehicle.
No deposit is required. The fixed rate is confirmed on WhatsApp before travel and paid directly to your driver in cash or by bank transfer.
Yes, when arranged in advance. Longer sightseeing stops add travel time and may have an additional fee.
There is no metered taxi that runs this route: at roughly 115 km it is a long-distance drive, and cars are booked in advance at a fixed price rather than hailed. Ours is IDR 700,000 in the Standard MPV and IDR 850,000 in the Premium MPV, per car and not per person, the same in either direction. The fare is agreed before you travel and paid to the driver in cash on arrival.
Shared shuttles do run to East Bali, but not on demand from the terminal: they leave on a set schedule, usually from a town rather than the airport, and drop you at a fixed point rather than your accommodation. For a late arrival, or with luggage and family, a private car that waits for your flight and takes you to your door is the simpler option. Our guide to getting to Amed compares the ways to make the trip.
